Sometimes I feel like my resume and my application just goes into a black hole and into an abyss of nothingness.
I know how you feel. I apply for 8 hours a day like a job send out my resume and everything. And no calls for interviews nothing. Now I'm out of unemployment and with the agism they are forcing us to go on Social security early
Cause no one will hire me because I'm 62.
It's kind of shocking how universal that experience is. It really seems like companies have just created an informal hiring moratorium. I don't know what they're waiting for. Some people think the fed rate cut in the fall will break the dam and get things moving. Let's hope so.
You are right about that OP. I feel like aside from going and sitting up at a hospital and demanding to speak with the hiring manager I have literally done everything I can do. Its impossible to find a job right now and it is really so frustrating I have been looking for six months now.

You're absolutely 💯 percent correct OP. I'm not even sure as to when the floodgates if you will are going to reopen again. In the meantime I am praying for a big miracle to happen very soon
You are certainly correct on that point. I know it is difficult to find a job right now and the process is very frustrating I have been looking for nine months.
The situation is this, the economy is in the tank…. There are jobs , but not enough jobs for the amount of people needing them ….. So with that being said it’s an Employers market they get thousands of resumes for the one job they want to fill., they would literally have to create a position to manage all the incoming resumes.
It’s truly an economic disaster
And has been for quite some time
The only thing you can do is to continue to send and apply for as many jobs as you can per day… do not stop until your punching a clock somewhere
I do have an interview for part-time but it's better than nothing I guess. Also have papers filled out for a temp service. Not really what I want to do but I have bills to pay. Just makes me sick that I may not be able to get a medical job after over 2 decades in the field.
I agree
I agree. I am older and KNOW they refuse to hire me despite a great history and resume. What I do hear from are the many scammers that have access to all of these sites.
Most HR departments have scaled back on the number of recruiting staff they have. In order to remain efficient, some use software that will pull resumes that closely match the jib description posted. So, if you want to get more call backs in your job search, you will need to tailor your resume to match the job you are applying for. Best of luck!
What this software does is look at words in your resume and you are eliminated if they are not there. This type of software is necessary for sure. However I may have the experience and skills necessary and a bachelor's degree. However I don't have a GED.... software, not a human, excludes me. What can I do? Keep at it....
totally agree! the recruiters are the worst it's like are you even working?!!
Use the same wording for the job you are applying for in your resume for your current or previous job. So if the post say need someone who can lead in your job breakdown use the word lead or leadership. So the algorithm will pick up your resume as a match. Also only apply for jobs with recent post
Nothing 5 weeks or three months ago its a ploy to make the job market seem like its booming. And avoid repost as well. These jobs are probably already filled.
Same. If I see a job up i want to apply to I go apply directly on their site instead
Are looking for Medical Records position in OKC
I saw a thing that was basically like add a footnote to your resume, copy and paste the job description and requirements in white, 1pt. font and save it as a pdf. It will be invisible to the naked eye, but coded into the document so it will get past the computer filters (I.E. AI) and end up in front of a recruiter.
Rising Star
AI is causing more issues and employers posting through sites like this isn't working.
I doubt every application from here gets to the employer, I would bet Glassdoor is incentivized to filter what apps make it to the employer and then again the employer filters again likely using AI or other software.
Skip it all, research the facility. May list their unit mangers or talent acquisition staff. Send a professional email of interest with your resume attached.
