My pharmacy said my rx is back ordered and to start calling around to other pharmacies to find one that has it. I had to do this every month for like 6 months straight last year. I just literally can’t handle having to call 6-10 different pharmacies, go through the phone options, get transferred around and then sit on hold for who knows how long. Especially when I’m not on my meds because my script is out.

I just needed to vent.

I’ve found that they’ll lie about whether they have it in stock and will give it to you if you’ve been going there. They’ll say they don’t have it and if you tell them you’ve been getting it filled here for months, you talked to someone two days ago who said they’ll probably have it and to call back, then suddenly they have some.

Also, make sure you ask for both brand name and generic. They’ll tell me they don’t have it and if I ask for name brand, they’ll fill it.

Great tips! To piggyback, I also ask for odd mg doses (i.e. They often have 7.5s, 12.5s or 15s in stock because people are on 10s and 20s). But - it’s annoying to then call the doctor and tell them to change your dose for that month. So many steps on top of everything else!

If the issue is Vyvanse, make sure your RX is for the brand name not the generic. I have had no issues getting refills via Optum (online pharmacy). Good luck!

So sorry this happened to you. I posted about this happening to me last month. If you haven’t already, I suggest trying pharmacies at hospital, urgent cares, and community centers. A little tip that I got from my doctor

I used to feel that way too. But I switched from cvs to a Walgreens at a community health center because the community health center always has my meds in stock. I take vyvanse.

Do you have Capsule near you? I’ve never had them run out.

I do, they said it’s unavailable from their supplier. I was using them last year and kept running into the same issue so I stopped using them. I loved the convenience when they did have my meds though!

I feel this

I’ve been using outreach RX. They don’t take insurance so that sucks. Also try Costco.
