My wife runs a personal training business, pays a % of her revenue to the owner of the space. When she first started, she bought (on a loan) a very expensive InBody machine. I am trying to see what is the average salary for a business analyst with a year experience in a medical device company. I am in the bay area.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

I’m an inpatient medical coder and make 23.58 currently, I was previously and outpatient coder as well as a billing coordinator. I also have nursing experience. I have seen many inpatient job postings with advertisements of higher pay like27-32$ and hour. Am I being low balled here? I work out of St. Louis

Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Never dealt with this before, so wanted to ask if anyone has ever had an instance where the insurance didn't cover the outstanding balance of the loan and the insured then owed money? Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.

I stopped contributing to my 401K for the last three months in order to pay off credit card debt. I am 28 and have about 68K in my 401K. Was this a smart decision? I want to get out of debt as quickly as possible and I have no student loans or car debt.

Why do 403b have such I fees? I almost want to stop contributing all together or just minimum 6% to meet the match. Possibly just rely on the pension but what if it’s underfunded when I retire?
