Hi Google - I am requesting guidance!
I am prepping for my interview specifically GCA and open ended questions. I struggle to tell if the outcome should be talking through your process/steps (maybe for a question like - how would you go about determining program complexity) vs a specific solution such as create x new product, for x market by x date based on my assumptions. Is the desired outcome something I can clarify with the interviewer?

Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Haha bro ur about to interview with one of the most prestigious companies/consulting firms and you're wondering if u should wear a tie??! Yes wear a fucking tie!!
Suit and tie and don't be phased when you see that no one else is. Wear a suit and own it
You just failed the case interview.
Multiple ties. Extra professional.
Follow-up question: clip on, bow tie, or bolo tie? 👔
wear jeans i dare u
@OP it's a good thing you're anonymous right now, buddy.
bolo FOR SURE
Lol OP, no need to be so salty. In fairness, you asked a real rookie question. Even from someone who could only get into Accenture.
Full tux. Go big or go home. Make them know you care 🤓💪
Tux? Unless it's powder blue don't bother. White Tie + kid leather gloves. If you're looking to make a lasting impression add cane and Top Hat.
So, definitely suit and tie.
Go in shorts. Show me who's the boss. Don't be desperate.
I think I can help with the Pam/Pan dilemma
You should show up in nipple tassels and pee on the desk to mark your territory!
Is there another one? 😜
The recruiter should email you a specific dress code and varies somewhat by region.
The east interviews were business formal. When I moved on and interviewed int h west coast, they said business casual. Most interviewees just dropped the tie in the west coast.
OP - no tie. You'll thank me later
Suit and tie but ride in on a horse
With the exception of the San Francisco office, I'd recommend wearing a suit and tie. Preferably navy or charcoal. Best to keep it conservative.
Btw there are no silly questions, just silly responses.
Good luck with the interview!
