Consulting dinner @ home on a Friday night :)

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Looking for some book recommendations :)

Never believe consulting firm leadership — all smoke and mirrors. BUT, considering the situation, do not resign until you are absolutely certain of start (check cleared, start date clearly communicated, etc.).

You would be more valuable to BAH post-Boeing experience if you were to boomerang back.

Have you asked for a MSA from Booz? It's looking like Boeing is going to be facing some rough road ahead. If they have been stringing you along like this, I am guessing your career manager is either useless or actively obstructing your advancement. The move may be worth the risk. The move is not too far, it's just you, you'll likely command a higher salary in your next role, and there are many other contractors in the El Segundo area you could potentially move to. SAIC is one that comes to mind. Do you have a clearance? If so, get onto Clearance Jobs.com if you haven't already.
Not for a Sr. Consultant. I'd like to know how much time/experience you have in your current role and how long you've been with the Firm. Are you a few years out of college? What are your details in your current and past position and how much experience do you have
I directly support boeing so I can give the outside perspective. It depends on the role. Assuming Mill Space based on the location, it isn't a bad place to be. Essentially anything tied to a contract is fine at this point. The other roles are going to be in flux for a while. No one really knows anything at this point.
Never trust BAH leadership. I have seen so many good to great employees leave because things were promised and never delivered.
BAH SC pay is only 102k?..
Ummm yes? It's often lower.
Booz seems to have a lot of useless CMs… a promo to A would get you around a 5-10% raise at best given your current salary.
Even defense contract tied programs are taking hits; would stay away for now
All, today I was promoted from senior consultant to associate after almost 2 years worth of promotion promises. They do not know I have another offer ( still awaiting confirmation until background checks have cleared) I went from 101.7k as a SC to 109.9k as an A. Lousy 8%. Boeing offered me 152.5k.
I can only offer my personal story, which is that Booz strung me along with offers of salary increases and better projects that never happened. I'd be very careful with anything not in writing.
This may be a crazy idea.... but can you just work both until you are for sure in your Boeing job?
If it's Boeing, I ain't going.
