Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. Hey, if u feel like looking out there go right ahead! Nothing wrong with that. U r the only one who can take care of u the best. And it’s the only way to get out of ur current situation. So just do it. U don’t need anyone’s permission. Good luck 🍀 (PS: I am an ex-Deloiitter by the way 😉)
What bump from D to A?

Vote with your wallet. Rather depend on the firm to pay you well, depend on yourself (and look elsewhere).
My feedback looking back: if you want the $, jump around. If you want partnership, then be patient and continue to build your network internally and externally.
Ask yourself, “see its value to who?”
If the answer is, “nothing I really care about when I go to bed at night” then it’s time to pack up and ship out.
Don’t forget you should be on that list.
What’s your level and base salary?

Jump ship! You can negotiate a much better salary. It’s the sad but true phenomenon of company loyalty...you will be only be given raise to the floor of the next salary grade when you are promoted. The argument is “so you have room to grow”. At a new company you can be brought in at midpoint or better. 💰
It is a sellers market for good talent- assuming that is you, talk to your boss or HR. Ask about benchmarking your salary with others at your level. If your assessment is accurate they should feel obligated to adjust timed to the next cycle; if hiring is especially challenging they may even do an offcycle adjustment. If they say they can’t, ask what else they CAN do. It is almost always effective in my experience to go in with a legit counter, BUT you really can only play that card once without getting a reputation for being a pia. So may want to start with first idea
Yes you can also jump ship and get an inevitable bump but keep in mind that we are in a volatile econ time and so you also need to consider if things like organizational connectivity, relationships, etc matter to you. Also while loyalty overall is a dying thing, there is still truth around last hired/first fired when other factors are considered near equal.
