You should talk...
You can switch your status to tourist, which is a six month extension, but you can’t work under tourist status. I actually did this under President Obama. This buys you time. Alternatively, there are shady companies that will hire you temporarily, but be very careful under Trump.
How was your performance?
My suggestion: sue deloitte for discrimination. Get a nice severance. Then look for the new role.

I was at met expectations last year (2 months in previous year). After that, snapshots at 4.5 range, most recent project, I was rolled off because client was looking for someone with more experience. Replaced with a senior manager with relevant experience. Project prior to that, had great appreciation emails from lead partner and client.
Talk to the attorney. They can advocate in your behalf to get higher severance, as well as $$ for things like interview coaching. Changing jobs is difficult. Milk the D for all it’s worth.

Day 1 readiness, PMO roles. Prior to that, I was a chemical engineer and worked with energy and manufacturing clients. Completed my MBA from UT McCombs in 2018. I am looking for leads and referrals finding a job soon. I have been in the US for 13 years on visa and would have to leave in 2 months with wife and kids. Any help would be great.
