Hi Fishes,
I resigned from TCS in August and in another 18 days it's my LWD with TCS, now i got call from my lead saying they will provide canada onsite opportunity and he said he has multiple projects at onsite which he can give me, some are saying it's just a gimmick to retain you nothing else, my DM asked me to say yes or no by tomorrow so that he can start the process he said once i get approval mail then only i can take back my resignation. Do you think i can believe my DM? Tata Consultancy Infosys

3 is probably easiest to do right away. There’s definitely orgs out there for whom data analytics is central to their business and not just a support function. Those are the places you want to go.
Option 2 is likely to be tough without option 1 first. This is a more circuitous and expensive route for where you want to go. I did do an MBA tho and will say it was fun/ worth it.
What are my options? Can think of:
1. MBA
2. Find another role that leveraged data science in more of a strategy setting (does this exist)?
3. Find an organization that values data analytics in leaders and climb the ladder

This is the main reason I avoided branding myself as a data scientist. The skills are very valuable, but you are seen as the analytics guy, not the leader.
2 could be ZS

Hi op,
I wonder if you can use your data scientist skill set to get a strong business knowledge for a leadership position.
