90k for an experienced senior in DFW sounds a bit high. I’d think low/mid 80s for a senior 2 probably.
Okay, thank you! I think they are willing to go up to 85k. These decisions are tough 🤯
$85k as a 2nd year tax Senior is good in DFW, especially outside of the Big 4. Try and find out what the work/office culture is like & what kind of client engagements you’ll be working on. That’s much more important than pay, in my opinion.
Some firms (3 letters, starting with B & ending with O) pay higher salaries but have dogshit work environment.
Also FWIW, Bay Area Salaries for 2nd year associates can be anywhere between $90 & $110k, depending on firm & practice area.
