Need some advice after 8 months of applying I got an offer for 25% base increase to a large bank as a DE, lower bonus (recruiter said 11k, currently at ~14k). Bank is known to have rigorous pay bands. Should I try to negotiate salary? Also, I applied for a principal role but was given a senior role instead due to experience. Principal would’ve been ~45% raise. Is this common?

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐
