Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

I know you don't want to hear this, but money should be a secondary consideration. Will the new role make you happier than you are now? If so, go for it - don't let a few dollars keep you from being happy.
As to money, a 4 year resource in a moderate cost of living could probably get a little bit more than what you're being offered - maybe another 5k? Please remember that industry raises might be a bit lower percentage than you are used to, so getting a few extra bucks now might help. You might not get another one for a year or maybe even two.
Good luck!
That's not a trend right now. People aren't hiring for that high of a salary. You probably can get a 100k due to high cost of living. But I have friends that are leaving. And they're getting like low 100. Industry firms will also fire you if you don't know what you're doing. I can't believe what people don't really know. When they pivot into an accounting role. They're really not trained well just because they went to school means zero.
I think 100k is a very average offer for a senior leaving big 4. I do think you could do better, it just might take a month or two.
I’m an S2 in a MCOL city and mostly get LinkedIn DM’s in the 105-110 range
Yeah $100k is easily attainable as a Senior. If you want to get out of big 4, and into a smaller firm with less hours and $105-110k contact me. Fully remote option available.
I am also interested. Could you please share the job posting?
I would also consider your work life leaving big4. Will you be working less hours, receiving other benefits that make the offer worthwhile?
It’s not always solely the base salary that makes or breaks it
100k is market atm for senior
Oof I’m an S2 and I make $101k in MCOL, how are you at 89k in B4?
