Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Probably trying to get you in line with the other managers. 101 as a senior even in high COL is high. Especially for none big 4
Id be pumped with 110 as a first year manager
110 does not sound bad
How many years of experience to get to manager though? Were you promoted quickly or gradually?
Yeah you’re right I should just work for Pwc and stick a gun in my mouth
Unless you want to leave public not sure why you would subject yourself to the hell of big 4. I haven’t worked more than 50 hour weeks and have a decent work life balance
Should be double digit to manager. Just curious- why would you ever go work for Andersen Tax? Seems like the sun set on that franchise many moons ago. With no audit or advisory practice seems like the future is limited for them - no cross selling opportunities at all.
Sounds about right where I would estimate it in nyc for example. Maybe +/- 5k
