Update - I always flew United

like

Good luck with ORD!!!

I've been traveling lax-ord all summer - over nine weeks total of 3 hours of delays ( all on Thursday's going into ord)

I've had little to no issues doing the reverse of that route, even in winter, with AA - it's one of their mission critical routes so I guess with all the international connections they prioritize it when they can. Surprising, I know

Leaving ORD isn't the problem, it's getting in. Check out the Santa Monica pier concerts for the remainder of the summer when your Thursday flight inevitably gets delayed.

@Deloitte When I started traveling, for 3 months my AA flight coming back from LGA to ORD got delayed every Thursday and I am not exaggerating when I say every Thursday. It scarred me for life. Never looked at AA again. Might give it another go

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Hello,
I work in SAP Data Migration space.
Can anyone explain the difference between PWC SDC, PWC AC and PWC India?

I am trying to get into PWC. here are a few things I have heard so far. Is this fairly accurate?

1. PwC AC is offshore counterpart of PwC US. Good salary. No travel opportunities. Average yearly hike ~10% Mostly technical work.
2 PwC India is a pure consulting firm. Salary better than PwC AC. client facing work. Can grow as a management consultant. Great Travel opportunities.

I’m interested in transitioning to a role in the consumer markets sector. I’ve been on a staff aug project doing back office compliance work so I’ve been trying to apply to different firms but I’m not having much luck. As additional background I’ve been running a successful side hustle for about 6 years, and I’ve gotten a decent understanding of growing a small business, consumer habits, but unfortunately I don’t have any consulting experience in consumer markets. Any advice or leads? TIA!

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.

How easy is it to get a mortgage for the second home?

Household income - 300k

Happy to add more details as needed

Thanks
