Novice question: if I sell my house and then rent for a year will I be taxed on my proceeds from my house sale as a capital gain? Do I need to reinvest them by a certain amount of time?

Yes, you will be taxed.

Aren’t you are allowed a $250k exemption from taxes on any gains as a single person and $500k as married couple? Or is that conditional on buying another primary residence within 6 months?

I feel like I've been living under a rock for ~5 yrs. I was happy and blowing off money with the thinking that I'll start saving once I start earning more.

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.

Hey guys. I’m looking for some advice on a new promotion to Radiology Supervisor. It’s a great opportunity and I know I will be great in the position. The only problem is I’m worried about the issues it may create. I’m pretty fresh out of school (<2yrs) while my peers have 5-10+ years of experience. I know it’s going to cause some tension, and some may even quit. Any advice on how to navigate the situation?

I’m exhausted with having to educate colleagues on what we do. I know we’re specialists as producers, but we work in the same industry, people. Hi everyone, not sure if I have any options but figured it doesn’t hurt to ask. I signed a lease in June for $2050 when I was under the impression it wouldn’t get lower than that. The same apartment is now down $1650 and has been dropping. this is super frustrating since it’s such a dramatic drop. It’s almost more cost effective to break the lease for $4k in order to save $4500 over 12 months - $500 in total savings + cheaper if I renew next year. Do I have any negotiation power? Pls help/advise
