Now that I've been promoted out of frontline and more into management, it's like a whole department of people just waiting for you to mess up and drag you through the mud. I used to love leadership, but I'm finding it increasingly hard to help motivate and be relatable. I'm off phones, but the stress and anxiety still exist. It's just a different animal now. I felt less micromanaged as an agent. Please help.

I understand how you're feeling; I was in a similar situation when I got promoted to a managerial role. I found the best way to help motivate and be relatable was to take the time to get to know my team and understand where they were coming from. I also made sure to recognize their hard work and encourage them to work together to achieve our shared goals. It made a huge difference in terms of morale and made it easier to handle the stress and anxiety.

Being a manager in a call center always felt like it’d be a worse job than being on the phones. Absolutely not a position I aspire to be in. My manager sounds dead inside every time I talk to him. Don't get me wrong, he seems like a sound lad. Just sorry for him tbh.

I was a call taker for years, and declined promotions for just this reason! I'm with you OP.
