On the CISSP exam, how many questions are covered from the Sybex Cissp official study guide? Are there any questions which would require more in-depth knowledge of the concepts than what's written in the book?
I am studying from this book only, would that be enough?

Oh yes use Boson! Way harder than the real exam imo

Do Sybex anyway. For me it was the equivalent of training for a 5k run by working up to a 10k before race day. It helps you getting into the groove of answering similarly styled questions. There are other question banks out there too. Better to be over prepared than underprepared.

Recommend checking out cissp subreddit to see what others have used in their preparation. It will help if you take the sybex exam to see what domain(s) you are weak on.

If sybex ( I didn't use this during my prep) covers what the official covers in terms of concepts, you should be a good shape. However, there is always a chance you will encounter questions that is not covered in any of the study materials. This is bc they pull a very tiny % of the questions from experimental test bank. Also they may ask questions in a different way in which you should be to figure out the answer based on your understanding of the concept. Its not as straight forward as you expect it to be.

I passed first attempt with only Sybex materials and the occasional google on concepts that I didn't quite grasp or was interested in
