If agencies really cared about growing employees they’d pay them what they’re worth. But they don’t. For them it’s ONLY about growing profits.
When they change their tune, I’ll change mine. In the meantime, pay me.
I was at a start up and when I asked for a raise, HR said, “oh so you’re motivated by money!” …aren’t we all?
Lame
There are a few things in play here. It's about to be Q4 so many agencies are looking to staff up for next year without breaking their budget in the last few months, which can be slow if you don't have launches. They also tend to pay freelancers market rate because of competition and take advantage of full-time staff with lower offers knowing people are looking for security.
