I find it difficult to host client meetings - how to drive conversation, fill in the pauses, and help drive the group move towards next steps consensus. It’s not that I don’t know how, it’s that I doubt myself, and my language skills. I see some other SC/Ms just repeating what others said, and just talking too much of what’s already known - and they are appreciated. How do I reach a stage where I am able to do this better?

I have a para/assistant teacher that just wants to argue over everything. “You’re the teacher, why do I have to assess the children during break out rooms?” We have 8 kids, and I am only asking her to do 3! I recently raised my rates after being told I wasn’t charging enough on here. Both of my main clients have already responded saying they either can’t pay me my new rate ($125/hour with 15 years experience) or are interested in “talking further.” So naturally I’m starting to freak out a little bit. I’m still pretty new to freelancing full time. What do I do/say? Do I hold my ground and hope for clients that pay me what I’m worth? Or lower my rates/standards and hope I can make ends meet! Help!
