One of the things I've learned from leading business change is that people don't usually resist change they resist uncertainty.

Taking time to understand how people work, listening to their concerns and involving them early often has a greater impact than the technology itself.

Successful projects aren't just about delivering systems, they're about helping people embrace better ways of working.

It's a lesson that continues to shape how I approach every project.

That's not insight, that's business 101 every entry level employee should know.

Now once you run into a handful of mid and end career employees who reject change because it means they have to invest in learning something new, complicated or they're simply waiting out the clock and don't wish to, ...then we can talk.

this maps directly to AI adoption too. the resistance isn't to the tools — it's the uncertainty of 'am I going to be competent at this?' we see it constantly. giving people a clear read on where they actually stand removes most of the anxiety overnight

Love this insight

This is true, but companies still make decisions about where employees should be without knowing day to day workings of the teams they are impacting.

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?

Hi what is the maximum salary that can be provided in Verizon for the role 'Senior Engineer Consultant-QA Test Automation' ?

Worried because of my salary at my current company I am pricing myself out of opportunities to move into a rep agency that could eventually give me the opportunity to buy into it. I’m currently almost topping out on my salary at current company with no opportunity to progress. Can make good money for a while here, but new challenge is interesting to me. Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.
