One thing you wish you didn't have to deal with at your job? Mine is not the most obvious choice...But it IS infections.

Oh, dealing with infections is the worst no matter what you do. But way worse sometimes when you're dealing with OB/GYN issues. I am more skilled at figuring out internal issues, but occasionally I get queasy at the sight of blood (still!) and that's super embarrassing. It's my JOB. Lol

Haha, that's relatable! Thanks for sharing.

It'll always be poor hygiene for me. It's not like patients don't know they've had a doctor's appointment for three weeks. Be courteous and take a shower before your appointment!

I hear you on that one. Infections can be a real pain in the neck. But if I had to choose one thing I wish I didn't have to deal with at my job, it would be paperwork.

Hi lol, this is super weird, but may I DM you? I’m interested in potentially becoming an OB-GYN.

Hello, I’m an LMSW in Michigan. I have 15 years of experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor, and an administrator. I am feeling burnt out and unsure of my future. I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. I’ve flirted with private practice work in the past, but my spouse has been worried about not having affordable healthcare and benefits that each system provides. Is it worth the jump? Am I overthinking things?

I think living a frugal life and aiming to retire early makes a lot of sense.

Recently, some of my family members are diagnosed with a rare diseases. When you look at the statistics, these are so many of these ‘rare’ conditions and cumulatively they are not rare.

These family members conditions made me reevaluate how I want to spend my life. I am 35 this year and I can’t decide if I should take great vacations with my kids or keep living a frugal life. Do you have the same dilemma?

During the pandemic I dove into my self care (found a therapist, learned I was having seizures and got on meds for that). My journey has been difficult and not pretty to watch. Somewhere along the line I feel like my fiancé saw too much. I no longer feel like romantic parters and instead feel like we have a “caretaker/patient” type relationship. I don’t feel sexy or attractive anymore. I talked to him about this and he feels bad. But I feel guilty for bringing it up. Anyone else had this issue?
