I worked from Parallon in the past. I had many friends/co-workers who were part of the manager in trainer program. It seemed to be a good program that allows you to move up at a quick rate. It all really comes down to which department you are in and who you report to. As for salary, my co workers never told me an exact number but I remember them complaining about it a good bit. I imagine it’s on the lower end.
I applied for a Patient Advocacy Manager role in Med City Dallas.
HCA does not pay well to being with and only gives 2% raises at the end of the year. Although for the past 2 years there has been no raises
2% is the standard annual raise. We didn’t get our annual raise in the summer of 2020 due to the pandemic, but it was reinstated and adjusted in October or November 2020, plus a (very small) one-time payment to make up for missed bonuses. Employees get a quarterly bonus of around $300 each time (amounts vary based on individual, department, and company performance) and leaders get an annual bonus instead at the end of the year (10% or 15%). We did receive the annual 2% raise in 2021. This is Parallon. I thought it was the same across all of HCA. I agree that base pay is usually low. For me the benefits somewhat make up for it.
Parallon employee here who works closely with executives. I think it’s a good move if you want a leadership position. I know senior leaders here invest a lot to develop future leaders through the MIT program. I’ve seen someone start as MIT and move to Manager, to Assistant Director, to Director, and now Regional Director in the last 5-6 years. One of the first MITs we had recently became AVP. I’ve also seen a few MITs leave before moving into a leadership role, but the vast majority stays and moves up. I don’t have any insight on salary.
Thank you for your time and elaboration.
