This might be philosophical but wanted to understand if we should get satisfied and be happy with what we have or keep striving for more?

Reason I am asking this is - I earn close to 1.5 lakhs every month and if someone had told me this during my college days I would have taken it eyes closed thinking this is more than enough. But today, I am not able to be satisfied and I don't want this to become an affliction so thought to share with others here and get to know the general sentiments.

Potentially dumb question here: I am starting law school soon and will not be employed (net income of $0 assuming I don’t get a good summer internship next summer). Finding a house-share with enough working space for wfh seems expensive since I first moved to London 4 years ago - £900+ pcm and still competing for the room! Is it worth just trying to rent solo a little further out for ~£1,300pcm? Big issue is I’m only earning ~£45k with 4yoe.

If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better.
