I recently graduated from law school and have started my clerkship in the superior court of NJ. Once done with my clerkship, I’m hoping to work in employment law (defense). I’ve seen online that Jackson Lewis is hiring at their Berkeley Heights, NJ location. Can anyone give me any insight on what it’s like to work at JL? culture? First year associate salary? Typical work day? Jackson Lewis P.C.

I encourage you PROHIBIT tipping and advise the bartender to NOT put out a tip container.
You are hosting a party and guests should not feel compelled to tip. They are your guests.
If a tip is appropriate, then you should tip the bartender after the event.
If I was host, I would be livid if the bartender asked or encouraged my guests to tip.
What is up with American tipping culture nowadays seriously
Not sure what happened with tipping in the past 1-2 years but seems now everyone wants a tip. I go pickup pizza at the pizza place close by and they want a 20% tip.
Super tacky at a private party.
I would privately tip the bartender at the end of the night. Similar to how you tip the band after the wedding reception.
Is this an individual or company that you hired? $140/hr seems generous enough with it without tip seems generous enough to me. 🤔
She’s being paid more than enough. She can bring and put out her own tip jar if she wants, but expecting you to announce it is ridiculous.
They’re not supplying the liquor and beer, right? Literally serving and making the cocktails? Anything from their end that would be a cost to operate? Otherwise, that’s a nice payment for a relatively cushy job, I’d be disappointed with them, especially if they have a second set of hands to assist.
Right, I still would have to supply the drinks. She provides servicing and some garnishes and disposable cups lol
