Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

I'd make them get rid of me. You can keep looking in the meantime.
That's going to look crappy on your resume.
8 months is pretty early to be job hopping within the same line of work - what's your reason?
Na jus say your practice isn't busy and you don't feel like you're developing. Then state you'd like to work at Whatever Consulting, LLP because you heard they're heavily investing your area and you think you can seriously grow there.
No one is "locked" into a BD role. If you get a project, get on it
A5 and A6 are 100% correct. Chargeability always trumps BD, if someone says otherwise, run it up the chain, especially as an analyst
Find a role ASAP, in your OU, outside your OU, gotta get staffed. As others have said, leaving now may not be great for ya..
It would not look bad. I'm with @A4. I'm doing the same thing myself, and know others are doing it too.
Yeah keep working on getting staffed. What would you tell other firms if you went looking? That you've been unstaffed for two months? Not the best story
MC, FS based out of Chicago
OP chargeable opportunity should come before any proposal unless it is billable somewhere. This time of the year is tough but keep looking
I am FS myself and during slowdowns I have gotten staffed in other industry based on my functional skills
FS what? I know of lots of projects...
FS insurance, management consulting. There are zero opportunities in Chicago
Why specify Chicago? Go where the work is!
OP you should absolutely no try to transfer before at least 1 year. Look into literally any role on the list you should be getting from your TFS. I was on the bench for 4 months, then I got a 9 month role. Just keep applying and learning new skills to round out your resume.
I've been on the bench for the last 2 months and am currently doing BD work till the end of this month. I figure I should start looking at other opportunities since it's highly unlikely that ill get a project this time of year
ACN 2- that's the plan. Just want to have a back up plan
ACN 3- I'm locked into this proposal until December
What group u in?
