It’s marginal and dependent on your industry, skills and region. Unless you have offers for all of them, why do you care?
I’m biased but LEK top for brand and comp as long as you want to do growth strat and transaction work. Then Kearney, RB, S&, EYP, A&M. If you want more ops work or don’t want to do DDs, I’d say go Kearney as it is similar prestige and a different work mix. DM me if you want to chat!
Depends on focus area. In general I’d say
LEK/OW/Kearney
A&M
S&/EYP
RB
But really, it’s:
LEK for life sciences
OW for financial services
Kearney for operations
A&M for anything more CorpFin heavy
EYP and Stategy& for CDD work maybe? RB for industrials maybe but I’ve always felt like they barely belonged in T2
EYP is a CDD sweatshop and PMI shop. It’s all it is.
What am I chopped liver??
Was a quote from a different thread
I'm most likely biased too, but here's my order.
Alix, S&
LEK, A&M, OW
EYP, Kearney
I don't think RB is T2 in the US. They have a small presence here, but I've heard it's growing gradually.
If you're looking at a long term career I'd avoid Kearney. Stagnant for the last decade or 2, and growth is one of the most impotent part of becoming partner
I agree Kearney is only on these lists due to past history and marketing. Honestly avoid it like the plague. Really uninspired thought leadership and practice. So many people pretend to be experts on things they aren't
Only if you do a quick search in fb before you post, you’d see this question being asked and answered for every week
There is too much bias here. I hate vault but honestly it's probably the best at this point to give a true perspective. Go to the companies pages and you can see how they rank across all areas. MBB are the only ones that get ranked high across most areas
Lot of these T2 firms aren't in the top 10 of most sub lists which says a lot
I mean use vault for the sector ranking that is fairly accurate give or take. Compared to all the "prestige" random talk about which T2 is better
I agree with my bias with Alix, but Vault is a paid ranking platform lol - hope you know that.
It is to some degree but it's not the worst offender. I've seen others that ranked MBB below other firms. Think I saw one where Kearney was ranked as number 1. That clearly is a joke. The reality is T2s aren't equal across the board and T2 means very little in today's world of differentiation. Vault gives a fairly accurate ranking in terms of expertise for my industry and practice segments.
Rising Star
They’re all the same more or less. LEK and EYP probably have the best brands. A&M and S& best pay. It really depends.
Wait what these companies are not the same at all. Their specialties aren't similar. What Kearney is known for vs LEK as an example is completely different. They may all have service offerings but that doesn't mean they excel in everything. Also LEK has far from the best brand. It has the least recognition prob along with A&M on this list
