I transitioned to communications director for a center... marketing manager for a company... Agency experience is great to have for later working on the client side.
Promoted to Director of Marketing. I was hired to run in-house PR, but gradually picked up responsibilities across a span of two years, including influencer marketing, CRM, community management, and partnerships. It was less of a hard pivot and more of an extensive on-the-job education.
Commenting to follow. Depending on your sector and level, moving in-house after a few years seems like the best move for quality of life. Good luck!
