Thanks - what if you are already at $125K?
Yeah. Without an MBA you won't get above ~115. Strategy& Seniors start at 147 so maybe that's an option
You could pull 125 here. I’d say put the expectation of 130-140 in ur app (you specify) and if they can’t provide it, show proof of your current comp (they won’t ask).
That said, at S& you’d be able to negotiate more. Same with EY Parthenon
Chicago
^i May be wrong, but you may have better luck at another firm due to PwCs cohort system if you’re already that high at 4 years exp
Makes sense to me. Actually had EY FSO recruiter reach out but my understanding is FSO is more risk type work and pays significantly less than standard consulting e.g. PI. From your knowledge is that a correct assumption?
So FSO is an entire division of EY that has an audit, tax, risk, and PI group (and the others). So you can absolutely work in FSO PI.
That said, I have heard some PI work in FSO has more of a risk focus due to the regulatory aspect.
I’m part of PI national (non FSO) so I’m not entirely sure how FSO operates / the exact work they do.
I should also mention that you probably won’t get much of an increase salary wise at FSO PI. Maybe be able to push 135 max (which is often a first year manager salary).
Your best bet is getting the manager title where you are at now and coming in within a larger band. Of course, that’s if you’re only switching for salary reasons. You can certainly get 125 as an S3 here
Thanks P1 - Def Interested in S& (have coworkers from there) but i don’t think I’ve ever heard a good word about them.
E1 - Salary not a huge concern but definitely not taking a pay cut. Just looking to move back to Big 4 from boutique. Appreciate your insight!
Isn’t Parthenon almost impossible as exp hire with no MBA? That’s what I’ve been told.
Beats me. I know very little about that arm unfortunately
