No difference to utilization. From an optics perspective it's better at the end of the year to have a mix of time. That way if utilization comes up as an issue you can show that some of it is due to travel, some sick, some PD, etc. You don't want it to be all chargeable or G&A. But for utilization specifically sick vs available doesn't matter.
Are sick days and pto separate at pwc?
That's sweet. I get annoyed using pto when I'm sick 🙄
Holiday is a wash between the two since they both provide the same holidays. I just know that when I switched from KPMG to PwC last year I took a hit on my pto. I think it was a 5 or 10 day hit I can't remember. I know I would have gained it back eventually with time served (with the firm). It wasn't a big deal to me since I figured I could make up the difference in "sick" days since they are unlimited at pwc
Gotcha just wasn't sure since you said you started with 10 days but I get what you're saying now
Yeah we don't take PTO for sick days
We have unlimited sick days. After like 5 or 10 consecutive days in a row you have to go on disability or something
Sick day. I hate being on availability. And check the charge code policies.
I would do sick if you are sick. Either way it's 0/8 for utilization.
Ya but you get more pto at KPMG. At least from what I remember. I started with 20 days? at kpmg and when I started with pwc I got 10. Increased every year for service.
^we get 15 to start and 10-12 firm holidays
So that totals to 25-27..
KPMG starts with 25 PTO days +holidays
So basically it evens out pwc 1?
