Positive feedback, but the decision took several months given the internal process to approve these hires per the recruiter. Ultimately did not get an offer due to "the number of expert hires in NAM already this year". Two questions:
a) Is this a nice way of saying we found someone we liked more or is hiring in fact capped after a number of expert hires regardless of capability area?
b) If it's the latter would you expect the recruiter to re-engage once hiring opens up again or worth following up yourself?
P1 - congrats?
Thanks
OP how many years of con exp did you have when you got promoted / hired as a director?
10 years
Yeah honestly I wouldn't sweat it. It's them not you. I asked bec titles are....fluid these days
Thanks I1. Not sweating it, particularly considering that the BCG folks on here don't really seem to have the insight into the situation
OP - former BCGer here - my experience lends credit to that reason. Each NAM region usually has a projected and current needs target for new hires each year. It is reasonable that you could have been towards the end of the hiring cycle.
