December layoffs anywhere?
Filed for H1B extension, extension approved till aug-2024 (stamping not done), switched from tcs to infosys before stamping. I have new petition documents with me. Assuming infosys agrees to use my H1B, is there a possibility to file H1B transfer or reuse my visa.? Thanks

Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

I believe most banks will need to do a credit check that includes at least 3 years' address history in order to give out credit.
Also you don’t really need 3 years - just put 3 years in the application form and see if it works
Best bet from my experience is to use uSwitch.com or moneysupermarket.com or similar to check, they do a 'soft check' and you can have an idea first. Also, banks also have an online credit eligibility check you can try before applying for the main thing. Most likely you would be fine, I'm British by the way, so haven't been in your shoes
I would advise you to go old fashion… go down to the agency and speak to your manager… I’m sure they will be able to do better than online comparator sites!

I've heard that banks like Citi would be ready to do background checks in home country but provided you have a priority/premium account with them.
If you have a Premier account with the likes of HSBC or Citi they should be able to help set you up in the UK and move your existing relationship across
I got an Amex pretty soon after moving here and I had only Monzo and Starling accounts, so no high street bank accounts.
If you have a US Amex card, AMEX will recognize you in the UK as the same customer and same credit history, and give you a card. Nobody else does that. Even HSBC Premier wouldn't give me a credit card without 3 years residence history in the UK despite them holding and being able to see $100k+ of assets on HSBC accounts.
I'm an American who moved to the UK.
