During a zoom preliminary injunction hearing, our client began “word-vomiting” on cross examination. My partner, who was probably aiming for our client, then kicked me under the table. I’m young and went straight to law school after undergrad, so I don’t know if this is inappropriate or not a big deal. Is this a red flag for my current firm? Thanks for your thoughts.

The problem is I’m trying to use the entire bank description as my lookup value, but the table array I’m searching only has the first part of the descriptions (because the last parts are all different bank ref numbers). I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

Linguistic question, should an associate say "my partner" when talking to a client about a partner? To me this comes off like implying your also a partner, but saying "our partner" sounds weird too...
