Hi Fishes, What kind of work is envolved in ReactJS projects in Nagarro? Is it maintenance or Development From Scratch work. Also is it possible for a UI Developer in Nagarro to take up backend development work along with UI? I am currently working as a full stack Python developer and Got an offer in Nagarro as ReactJS Developer. I would also like to contribute in Backend Development as well. Last Ques 😅 - Mid-Product Organization vs Nagarro, Which one shall I choose for UI Dev role? TIA

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Dang. URI just beat Okla. 😭😭

Wait – Canadian fish here, you Americans can get fired at any second with no compensation?
EY2 — no such thing as at-will employment in Canada. However, your employer can terminate you “without cause” but they’ll have to pay you severance based on tenure I believe, or give you a two week notice.
Don’t quit. Make them fire you if they have to, but don’t quit voluntarily until you have another job lined up.
Is it legal? Why wouldn’t it be? Unless you have a contract, you’re almost certainly an at will employee. Is it normal? If I found out someone on my team was applying elsewhere, I wouldn’t exactly be thrilled either. By that point they’ve already made up their mind (as you have) so why would I keep them instead of starting the process of finding someone new?
I have an offer in hand but I’m waiting on another one, I don’t want to make any quick decisions until I have a chance to evaluate both but I may not get that luxury
Apparently my boss and CEO found out and wanted to talk at 4:30 pm today (Friday) and said because I’d be going to a competitor, it should be my last day. I run a department. I have managers who report to me and I collaborate with the sales team and they just don’t want me to show up Monday? I told them I haven’t accepted anything and wanted to talk with my boss before making a decision and unless they were firing me today, I wasn’t quitting. I haven’t accepted an offer yet, but this solidified that I probably need to… but how can I stretch my time? Is this even legal? Is this normal??
Director 2 omg!! Cease and desist letters?!
How did they even find out you were interviewing elsewhere? Definitely don’t quit
