Hey Partners! I accepted a position at another firm and was bumped from manager to Senior consultant level. Could you give me some advice on 3 key things I can focus on to help me re-advance quickly?

I just took a leadership role in industry after 5 years in advisory (industry hire). Partners, any tips for the transition? What have you seen your clients do well/poorly during big career moves?

Anyone here has taken the PMP certification ? Is it worth it over MBA and if you're managing projects in Advisory?

I know this is subjective but what are some of the easiest/toughest SF certifications to get?

I failed my first exam and now I am having a difficult time gaining the focus and drive I once hard to study and seat for another… did anyone went through that same thing or similar how did you over come that? I tend to set high expectations for myself and get overwhelm when those expectations are not met… but I’m working on that.

Anyone here successfully completed the CIA certification? What study material did you find useful?

Is working for a company that sells haram (Bank financial products, Walmart liquor products, etc) haram? Looking at an exit opportunity and part of (<10%) of their products are alcohol as a B2B seller. I want baraka in my earnings and want some help understanding this. Jazakallah

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. Tiger Analytics has started firing their new joineers(freshers) as they don't have adequate projects. I don't know where the freshers will go as they haven't done any project as such.

This is just pathetic from organization. They are just firing people owing to failing a test of certification, for which other company gives 3 trials but they are giving only one try with negative markings

I have realized I grew up in a household where my dad did not treat my mom as an equal. He belittles her, is rude and convinced his way is the only way.

It is painful to say, but some of this shows up in me and in my relationship. I am starting to catch myself, and it to me seems to be more of a reaction than anythjng that is ever intentional.
