I’m not sure it will ever be enough considering the amount of debt we had to go in to get the degree and keep up licensure. And thinking about how we have to do it for 40+ years on average.
Probably not enough compared to physicians but still much better than other careers I would say. Loans can be paid off in 3yrs if you are aggressive enough.
I feel like my salary is adequate as a Clinical Pharmacist (180k+/year)

I would say there is an upward mobility especially in retail side of things. The only drawback is finding a position that offers good work life balance
I am not a new graduate and it is disheartening to see how much debt new pharmacist have to carry!!! I am so sorry this is happening to you. No, there is no upward mobility in the retail pharmacy at all.... my supervisor boss isn't even a pharmacist!!! Years ago a pharmacist could work there way to CEO not now which is so confusing considering how much money they claim the pharmacy loses. Wouldn't a pharmacist be looking at the bottom dollar better than anyone else?
I feel like my wage is decent, my job allow overtime here and there. And because I was a recent new grad(2023), I pick up as much as possible. My base was $145k and last year I made $160k, which isn't too much more, but I enjoy my work and feel relax 90% of time at work
