Random thought/question: does everyone think they earn enough to make their job worth it? The money I earn is fine but I don’t think it is enough.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

At my firm the annual compensation call comes from one of the partners notifying you of your bonus and salary increase.

If I believe I am underpaid, when should I negotiate for a high salary? Should I thank the partner, and ask to schedule a follow up meeting in a few days? Should I mention right away that I am looking for a higher base? My ratings are always great.

My firm does not offer "bands", so it is difficult to know what colleagues are getting paid (I am using info from Glassdoor).

1) HRA
2) 5 year term deposit(fixed deposit) under Section 80C
3) Interest on education loan under Section 80E
