If you are thinking of starting a law practice or growing one with little or no capital, you need to get the book, “Starting & Growing a Law Practice without Breaking the Bank.
It was written based on personal experience and research. I started my practice 11 years ago in the middle of the 2008/2009 recession with about $500 and I have grown the practice significantly over the years using affordable and available resources.
I also coach solo practitioners and small firm attorneys. https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Growing-Practice-Without-Breaking/dp/1099523303

Depends more on individual interviewer than the firm imo
Mck does a good job with interviews. They're selective but not tricky. Straightforward and easy, as long as you're not going in unprepared
One of my BCG final rounds jerked me around a fair bit…later found out he had a reputation for that, probably gets his feedback indexed to a lower bar 😅

Never interviewed at McK but my BCGs were definitely harder than Bain
BCG was hardest by far
As an experienced hire who got offers from both McK and BCG. McK cases we’re definitely harder for me.
Could you elaborate? In practice I’ve found interviewer-led cases way simpler. They’re straight forward in that you’re answering one question at a time, not driving a mini-engagement.
My BCG interviewers were just plain old d**ks. Bain was nice and straightforward. McKinsey was just formulaic.
BCG was by far the hardest case for me. Bain and Mck were comparable
McK interviews tell you what they test, and then test you on it. Plain and simple.
I think BB might be closer together compared to M.
Can you share why you felt the BCG interview was the hardest in your opinion? Is it cause it’s candidate led?
I have a final BCG interview soon and I’ve been practicing with peers and working on my casing skills but this will be my first actual case interview.
Thank you for sharing! I try pretty hard not to lean on specific frameworks- partially because my background isn’t business and I def couldn’t learn them all in time, but also because specific frameworks seem too confining.
Fingers crossed I can step up to the plate :)
Just did my first round McK interview. It was probably the easiest case I had seen in all of my studies. Cases from Bschool case books were much harder.
I'm sure that would work well

I dropped out of Bain after the first round since I had another offer but thought BCG was much easier than McK, though I was interviewing for Platinion, not a generalist role
