Bain & Company I’m currently prepping for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company interviews scheduled in the next 2 months. For those that interviewed with both, how would you suggest I tailor my preparation for each one? I understand McKinsey is interviewer led while Bain is the opposite. But other than that, is there anything else I should work on separately for each one?

I'd pick #3 or #5 if you are more strategy driven. #4 if stability and cash driven. #2 is a lottery ticket.
I've seen what #1's path looks like and it was not for me, similar could be said about #3 but at least that is MBB. MBB > Big 4 any day.
Uh, founding your own startup maybe. Not sure if joining a small failing startup for a year of non-consequential work effort would be.
You have to be adding or creating value.
5, 4, 2, 3, 1
this is assuming I’d be good at any of these. Traveling later in my career as a consulting partner isn’t what I want for my future kids and social life.
Yeah get you
4,3,5,2,1. 1 isn’t happening, trust me. Partner tracks are only getting longer at the B4, even for top performers due to standardization.
That’s why I put 1 even lower than 2. I agree, B4 has almost no chance at top MBA programs unless they are URM or have crazy stats. Could your run of the mill B4 white guy get a T15 though? Sure, but the value there is questionable. But MBB and FAANG are better than a random startup.
Money is definitely pretty good in 4. My brother is 21, started at Salesforce - his total comp is closer to 200k including equity. He’s already worth a 100k from investing his money from internships. These crazy tech people. Idk why I didn’t go into tech 😂
#4 gang holla at me
OP sounds like we are in the same boat... I gave up SWE for consulting, let’s see how this plays out lol
2 if you are getting enough shares and you think startup will IPO.
