The yearly raises are 10-15k. It’s better than insurance defense but less than biglaw. But as ELA1 said, if your practice isn’t EPLI, your bonus can be 40-100k depending on hours. But to add: absent periodic market increases those are the raises even for NEP.
Thank you. This is a very helpful response. Much appreciated
The bonuses at FP are the best in the industry. 6 timekeepers at our office had more than a $100k bonus. FP is the most transparent firm out there.

I think it depends where you want to go. Comp at big 4 is stagnant across the board but you will make more money at FP than the other big 4 because of the bonus. If you went to big law you could make 2-3x more than you make at FP depending on your year. You could also do Seyfarth and be a little under big law.
Thanks! This is helpful context
A friend left several years ago for exactly that reason. Was given a crazy hours expectation relative to the comp, and comp hardly increased over the years.
Thats how i feel. Been here 3 yrs. Was happy with starting comp offered, which is why I lateraled. Not pleased with their moves thereafter
So ridiculous to be upset at a $10-$15k yearly raise when the average gets a 1-3% raise. Most people would dream about out.
Thanks P2, I think its bc im close to the cap. Still super frustrating and demoralizing, because my performance review meeting went very well. So the comp meeting really threw me for a loop. Makes it hard to motivate going into 2026 :/
My understanding is that most of the associates at the big four received mid-year raises/inflation adjustments ($10k to $15k). So I wasn’t surprised to hear that the annual raise wasn’t much. Still sucks though. Also, the more senior you become the annual raise decreases because the idea is to become partner and apparently that’s where the “real” money resides. If compensation means a lot to you, I would leave. Littler pays more than FP but I heard they don’t receive bonuses.
This is extremely helpful thanks! And makes some really good points. Thanks for this 💗
This isn't nearly enough information for anyone to answer most of your questions
Actually it is lol. I got 3 helpful responses :). I didnt want to share more to make sure I stay anonymous
