Gotcha, do you think if I ask for $200k base they might balk at that?
I got an AD offer at a small biotech.
They had pretty much no wiggle room on salary, but were flexible on stock. I got +20% stock by negotiating. YMMV
I’m not familiar with this industry but I’ve def seen situations where they’ll want to see proof of offer and just pull it if you can’t provide. Again, might vary from industry to industry but I think if they’re willing to budge from just you stating you have an offer with no proof then they’d probably be willing to play ball without you needing to lie. But just my opinion

Two Questions:
1) How much should I negotiate for in additional base salary?
2) Company wants response within 24 hrs, but I have final round interviews at other companies next week. What should I do? Should I accept and renege if I get an offer at the other companies?
Background on me: Current second year consultant, PhD by background. Current comp at BCG: $170k base with 15% bonus.
