Ask for 220 (30% bump), settle for anything over 205 (20%). Your call if you want to include RSUs in that calc

Gotcha, do you think if I ask for $200k base they might balk at that?

Two Questions: 1) How much should I negotiate for in additional base salary? 2) Company wants response within 24 hrs, but I have final round interviews at other companies next week. What should I do? Should I accept and renege if I get an offer at the other companies? Background on me: Current second year consultant, PhD by background. Current comp at BCG: $170k base with 15% bonus.

I got an AD offer at a small biotech. They had pretty much no wiggle room on salary, but were flexible on stock. I got +20% stock by negotiating. YMMV

I’m not familiar with this industry but I’ve def seen situations where they’ll want to see proof of offer and just pull it if you can’t provide. Again, might vary from industry to industry but I think if they’re willing to budge from just you stating you have an offer with no proof then they’d probably be willing to play ball without you needing to lie. But just my opinion

Hi, YOE: 3years Skills: Java, Spring Boot and Microservices I received an offer from Cognizant for 10.5 LPA with 45000 Variable and 75000 joining bonus. I didn't even negotiate with them because I got an offer from FIS for 12 LPA. Even before sending rejection letter to Cognizant they revised offer to 16Lpa with 45k variable pay and 1Lakh joining bonus. I am not getting why they revised offer. Till now I was pretty sure I was going to Join FIS now I am confused.

Has an offer to join a smaller but growing firm. Will get a decent raise, but I'm concerned about the lack of delivery capability. Seems like the expectation is they want you to be able to do it all, and they brand and technical breadth is not as established. Looks to me its high risk and the reward is just the raise they offer. Anyone has similar experience can share their experience?

If you were to write an email to a hiring manager who thinks you are over qualified, how would you write him/her a convincing/reassuring email? Highly appreciate your responses!! To give you little bit of context. This is a well known tech company.

Question for anyone who works in patent prosecution: I feel like I am not getting proper training at my current firm. I have barely touched any office action responses or drafted any claims in the last year. I mainly spend my time reviewing small scale filings that the paralegals prepare (like terminal disclaimers) and sending reminders and status updates to the client and partner. Is this type of work typical for someone who is a first/second year? Am I missing out on vital training I should…

Is it normal to get basically zero feedback? Brand new associate working at a mid sized firm. Been there a few months now and firm is still WFH. I get a fairly consistent amount of work. But I send my work product off into the ether and typically hear nothing or very little back (even when I follow up). I’ve gotten same vague “good work” feedback but that’s about it. I’ve drafted memos to clients and some briefs that have been sent/submitted nearly verbatim, so I assume that’s a good sign.
