What’s the process like in terms of transitioning to a product manager role, preferably at a big tech company, without any prior experience? How much are certain factors weighed in the application process (networking, personal portfolio, CS background, undergrad GPA, etc.)? What should I be focusing on doing right now if I give myself 1 year to prepare?

Is it wrong/bad to accept a job offer for a position which you have gone through the interview process for that requires 2 more years of experience than you currently have? It is for SC at B4. I just recently became C.

Looking for advice fish fam. Deloitte vs EY-P. Same level - Manager/Director. EY-P pays $50k more for base and maybe $10 to $20k more as bonus. Currently at Deloitte. Is the extra $60-$70k worth giving up my network? Plan to stay in Consulting and hope to make SM/SD. I have a family and my wife is a homemaker. So money does matter.
