Recruiter reached out to me for a role. I like where I’m at now but told him a buddy may be interested. Gave contact info and all. Buddy got the job. Is it common practice for me to get some sort of a kickback or gift from the recruiter as a thank you? Never signed anything but wondering everyones thoughts. Good role paying 125K base 20K bonus.

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.

Wondering if anyone else faced the same issue?

I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ.
