depending on your experience, it could be easy or hard to move into industry. if you have a lot of experience in the lab, go for positions in pharma! if not so much, i would start at a CRO

Yah, I did my research and I agree. Please MD me
It can be done. A LOT of skills are transferable. What are you interested in?

Anywhere that gives me a livable wage that’s higher than academia which floats (even in high end universities/organizations) between 40-50K. I’ve had some interviews in immunology roles in Pharma and they say I fit a research role more. Which discourages me a bit but 🤷🏻♂️. I’ll DM you.
Charles River Labs has several Research Scientist positions. https://jobs.criver.com/search/?searchby=location&createNewAlert=false&q=research+scientist&locationsearch=&geolocation=
Careful they have a line in most job descriptions saying that’s you will work whenever they ask you to overtime, weekends, holidays, any and all shifts
Network and get referrals, identify “hot” research topics and skills to be knowledgeable about (e.g. immunology, techniques associated with immunology studies), and show interest in learning about bio pharma (what are recent discoveries, trends, etc.). Then when you get interview show off that knowledge in an insightful way.
Caveat that I did do my PhD but I don’t think there’s not much difference with regards to how one can transition to industry.
