My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

My current company laid off my complete team (including myself) few days back. I've managed to crack an interview at a MNC but the HR is unwilling to give me more than 10% increment on my current salary since I joined my current company only 6 months back.

Do y'all think I should accept the offer and secure a job first without thinking too much about negotiation? And then maybe try to find better offers?

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. It’s like they don’t know what to say or I make them feel awkward so they don’t bother…I’m trying to focus on a few that have been supportive but it’s hard…Any words of advice? 😞

I’ve felt that I’ve done well my first month or two and delivered higher quality work, but I feel that lately I’ve been slipping up the past few weeks given the intensity of the deal as well as having multiple peripheral work streams.
