I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

We don't really need them
It’s cold in the summer…
If you're in SF proper you rarely need it. Though with climate change, there have been stretches in the summer that need it. During a heatwave in 2018 we were stuck in the office with no AC and it was 90+ degrees...
I hate a/c. Give me an open window and a nice breeze of fresh air, please.
I would say that many people do have a/c. I couldn't live without it! I think it just depends!
July is the coldest month of the year...
I haven't heard that but I heard that folks don't have heaters in their central A/C which I can't even imagine (from DC)
I live in the mid-Atlantic on the east coast and cannot imagine not having AC in the summer.
NYC too.
You know- I think you get used to where you are at. The bay breeze does keep temperatures cooler. That said, if you are in a hi-rise, get a portable mini ac.
Otherwise- open windows,, and close the curtains during the day keeps the place cool.
And a fan if you can’t sleep.
Part of the city’s charm is the neighborhood feel and open windows charm
