Saw this clip and immediately thought about it from a marketing lense if it was smart or a miss by in-and-out burger.
TLDW; guests became too disruptive over the order number 6-7 following TikTok trends. The burger joint removed the number from their order system because teens were swarming the order counter with phones when the number was going to be announced.
What do you think? Was this smart to remove due to safety concerns? My marketing brain thought what a miss to capitalize bigger.

If I were in-and-out I'd double down on the fun and publicity not ban it. If there's safety hazards figure out a way to mitigate it and control the scenario, don't just ban something that gets customers in the door for a thrilling moment in whats typically an ordinary situation.
How would you all manage this if your marketing team was seeing this going on?
That seems like an overreaction on their part. I don't think this 6-7 craze will last.
I'm honestly shocked the trend lasted long enough for this to be a concern.

Yeah, I agree although I do think it’s kind of funny. I read something online that it was to identify and bond with your peer group. I mean, can’t you just look at somebody and identify with them?
I get it but that’s insane they have to do that lol
