Agency recruiters: do you participate in kick-off meetings with hiring managers?
My company thinks that’s not scalable for us to be in those calls. But I find it hard to speak enthusiastically about a job to candidates I interview when I never got to even hear the founders speaking about it themselves.
We have now agreed that I’ll get to see the recording of those calls. I’m not sure if that will suffice, though. Any thoughts on this?
I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens
I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. While I’ve gained so much practical experience and run my own book here, I want to shift to a non-traditional remote role in real estate but keep getting turned down. I have strong credentials but I’m worried this small firm experience is killing my marketability to large companies.

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.
It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.
They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

2.5 YOE, 6.2 LPA Mainframe, recently got an offer from TCS for Mainframe Developer position with 7.5Lpa. My project Director called me and willing to match the salary here in Cognizant. He said i will be eligible for yearly hike as well.
Please suggest if truly I will be eligible for yearly hike after being retained and is it good to stay overall.
P.S - TCS gave 7.5 on top of 5.1 LPA, 6.2 is what i got recently in April promotion for Associate.
I recently moved from a boutique consulting firm to a higher role within industry. Is there a path to go back into consulting partnership from industry say a director or ED level? Does this happen? If so, is it common or rare?
Job hunting is just…exhausting and discouraging. And every time I log onto LinkedIn and see some other company has done layoffs I’m even further discouraged knowing I’m up against these folks now, too. I took a few months off after my daughter was born and it feels like now is the worst time to be back on the job hunt. Hi! I am both RPA & BPM certified with a total of 3 YoE. Currently, serving a bond period and soon be looking out for jobs. Compared to BPM, I have more knowledge of RPA. Need some guidance. My brother and I both have had major struggles with depression and anxiety due to our childhood. This past spring, he attempted to take his own life by ODing on designer benzos that he had bought on the internet. It turns out he had been taking them for years. I had noticed some odd behavior (erratic movements, inappropriate sleepiness, slurring words) over the past year, but we didn’t know he was using those drugs until we found him almost dead. For reference, I just transferred by HSA balance that’s been piling up into a new brokerage account. It’s about $3,000, and I left $200 in my HSA account associate with the debit card. I’m 27 and incur basically no medical expenses.

For those with company equity or unit incentive programs, is it common to forfeit vested equity upon voluntary departure? Explained as a “retention tool” but essentially held captive by a payout since the contract says equity doesn’t fully vest at 100% until the company is resold. If I quit at any time before a sale date, I lose all of the equity that has already vested. This was offered to a few employees in leadership but feels like not that great of a deal to me. Is this normal?

I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried? 10 months in a new global brand side role,former agency of 15 years. Really struggling to find my footing. Projects are slow, no direction from leadership, everyone wants to outsource vs do the work, and challenging times trying to be at the right conversation bc either forgotten or just not included and should be. Feeling like this isn’t for me and just wasting my time with nothing to add to my resume. Is this normal on brand side or do I need to refocus to be more successful?
Moving from a marketing role in VC (very top-down leadership) to a progressive tech company. The later has been a much more collaborative and team oriented environment and I’m struggling to know if that is normal in tech or if people aren’t staying in their lanes. Any thoughts would be helpful!

I found out after 4 long interviews over the past 6 weeks that I didn’t get the role. However, they reached out to let me know I was a top candidate and it was a tough decision. They want me to apply instead for a different role on that team and do one more interview with a person who works on that subset team. Is this a red flag or anyone been through something similar? I’m exhausted.

Agency and in-house is VERY different. One focuses on advertising, the other is more general management … eg: Droga is very different than L’Oreal
Best advice is to better understand what you want vs your experience & skill set and then focus on networking in that field. Identify target companies first.
