Don’t think it’s worth it. You gotta go through the promotion again. I’d talk to other firms and probably put pressure on PWC.
Definitely don’t do that, you shouldn’t go down in title when making a lateral move. Came over from EY as well
Start talking to Accenture, Deloitte, etc. and let recruiters know that you are doing that. Hint to them that other firms are willing to take you in as senior and you are not willing to step down. Have a friend who switched from Accenture to EY. Same thing happened to her and she said she wouldn’t step down. EY finally gave her the senior title.
It’s precautionary — shield PwC from risk in case they hire a dud.* To be fair, MBB would have set you back to first year.
*Not saying you are one, that’s just the approach
If you a senior 1 now, wont you be an s2 in a couple of months? Just say that and start the conversation
Don’t do it! They won’t promote you for two years because of “time with the firm"
Typical PwC move. They do it all the time.
PwC typically promotes seniors after 3rd year
I don't agree fully with P2...I came in as an A3 and was promoted to SA after a year and got a Tier 1 rating. Understand some ppl get snubbed though
Understand that, but I’m not really trying to go down in pay and rank due to a three year rule
Not sure if it’s true but they probably have wider pay bands at the associate level
Many people at D also get SC after 3 years (at least in fed)
EY1, don't think that's normal on the commercial side
Ey1 Deloitte is analyst 2 years, consultant 2 years.. so you'd typically need 4 years to make senior consultant. Very few make SC in 3 years.
I meant D advisory not DC
Second what PwC 2 said
P1 and P2. Thanks. I think I may take EY2s advice, but if nothing else I push back and let them know expectations
EY1, Advisory is not the same as Consulting at Deloitte. Their Consulting practice is the equivalent of what the other Big Four call Advisory.
Deloitte's Advisory practice is basically their risk-focused practice
