Hi, I recently came across Scaler's MS program, which offers masters degree in collaboration with Woolf University (European University). And, I am looking move to Canada in near future. Will the master degree offered through this course will be accepted by the education evaluation institute WES? If yes, is it considered as equivalent to Canadian Masters degree? 5% retention is a joke.
Most people target bare minimum 10% and more like 20% for laterals moves so not a big incentive to stay.
Advice - take some interviews and gage the value of your skills/experience on the market
I agree
I am actively looking outside but visa situation is making it difficult, i have not lost hope though and reaching out to people on LinkedIn

That's weird you have to pay back the retention bonus if they terminate *you*. Can you negotiate to have that clause dropped? Like if you leave, you pay it back. If you get laid off, you get paid.
Otherwise, depends if you think you can get an offer soon and how much you like your current firm's work, benefits, and culture.
If you’re planning on leaving then no. If not then I’d negotiate higher if possible but definitely strike the payback in the case of termination - that’s ridiculous and off-market
