What are my fellow Indy advisors using for benefits? Our family ditched the traditional medical for a Christian share plan last year, So far all is sound. How about Dental? Any bad experiences?
Researched this & IRS site confused me 😫. Can someone clarify: if a wife doesn’t work, husband has access to 401k, she is disqualified from a deductible spouse IRA above $200k income right?
Do you spend your entire per diem? Or do you prefer low-cost food options (chipotle for example) and save the rest of the per diem?
What are the different firms’ 401k matches? Any other benefits you appreciate or think your firm is lacking in?
Looking for health policy/healthcare sector opportunities outside consulting, but not research. Any ideas? Background Masters in public health (health policy). Where do I even start to look?
Since I've started buying groceries with my per diem, I've started carrying seasoning with me everywhere I go lol

Any advice on benefits at McKinsey? For e.g. company car or xexec like platform at big 4s?
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Does anyone have experience in healthcare venture capital? I have a potential opportunity and would like to know more about the day to day and possible career trajectory.
Quitting Accenture - How long after last day does your health insurance last? My new company’s health insurance starts the month AFTER my first day. So was wondering if there would be a gap in my health insurance. Also if health insurance continues after my last day (for example, until the end of the month) - do I have to pay for the insurance premium for the rest of the month?
I previously posted about this job but I need to give more context. I am currently working in a position as a contractor. I don't like the way being a government contractor is at this company. They make you feel like you're less than or not really a part of the company. I have an offer for a federal job that is higher pay, significantly better benefits, and more training and growth potential. But the commute is an hour. How would you handle it?
How much equity would you expect when joining a series A startup with ~50 FTES? A few pieces of info: role is D of strategy. Company is in healthcare (non-biotech). Highish COL city (if that matters). They’re offering what feels like decent cash comp (~200k).
Anyone have insights about working at Humana (healthcare) in an internal strategy role? People seem really sharp and the comp/benefits are well above consulting standards. Would love to hear any anecdotes about the company from folks.
Benefits form eating plant based or mostly plant based ( I’m thinking of keeping eggs in my diet but reducing/cutting out dairy) already a “junk food” vegetarian
My management brag about how little PTO they take - it makes me not look up to them but rather pity them & think I'm in the wrong firm. No one regrets the days they didn't work on their death bed.
Anyone in marketing law? Just started a new job looking for any recommendations (books, blogs) to brush up on.
Any suggestions for baby moon? Can’t travel out of the country and should travel before mid November. Live in Chicago.

👩👧 Anyone lost their mother when they were young? I’m in my mid 30s, and the older I get, the harder it feels (counter intuitively) ➡️
Are any of you guys personal trainers/coaches at fitness studios on the side? What cert did you do and any tips?
What is salary range for new SM ?
Senior Consultant at Deloitte - Life Sciences R&D group or Senior Manager at Pfizer - Strategy & Consulting group? If salary is about the same, what’s better title/ trajectory/ exit ops for someone in pharma R&D
I got an offer from a firm I like. Offer is good I’m happy. But have a question — Would it be ok to push back on the start date in the offer letter? I would liken to have a week or two between when I’d end at current firm and start at new firm. If this is ok, should I talk to them directly, or go through my recruiter?
I have been working in HR since 2004. I have a bachelor's degree but it is not in HR, it's in a medical/technical field. My entire career in HR has been on the job training and I have worked besides people with HR degrees doing the same things they do. What extra skills do you think your HR degree gives you that you wouldn't have without the degree?
What’s your salary at Big 4 in the SoCal offices in audit? I feel like we make much less and want to look around. I’m a second year senior. Open to any location!

SC for 1.5 years. Just got green light for manager. In Federal with MBA. What’s expected salary and bonus increase come Sept? I’m currently at $118k base
Came across the concept of “cash envelope stuffing” on youtube. Seems like a pretty good concept to avoid overspending on each category of expenses. I am trying to get some ideas to incorporate this concept using multiple bank accounts/ cards. Where I allocate a set budgeted amount of money each month, to each bank account tagged for a specific category (groceries, vacation, emergency fund, etc). Is this something you have tried or have any ideas on how to go about it? Do you recommend this?
Interesting to see that only 2 of the Big 4 CEOs are listed in Glassdoor’s top CEOs 2021 list. And the top one is CEO of BCG.
What is EY referral bonus if refer a senior ?
🐠 in NJ - have you received your tax returns? I filed for the first time in February because I had a project there for a month and haven’t heard anything.
