Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

CMA if you’re into understanding how to get into the weeds of various analyses for internal, management reporting. If looking to get in or advance yourself in Corp finance/ accounting I’d recommend it.
Could even think about CPA, if you’re not licensed.
Overall, CPA>CMA
CFA if you’re into investments and asset management, but you’re not. CFA would not be a good fit from what I see.
Overall cost of CMA should be reasonable. I think it cost me less than $4k with all the materials and fees. Each part for me was ~150 hours and there’s 2 parts. I spent more time studying for the first part. I definitely can say the first part is more rigorous, but to get that one over with first would be advantageous.
Another big difference is that for CFA you need around 1000 hours of study for the 3 levels at a minimum
i have cma, but as someone else here said, CPA is a bit more prestigious given the longer historical name value.
Makes sense. CPA isn’t an option for me, I don’t have 150 credits but also I’m just so far away from the world of actual accounting. I’m more in the analytical finance world.
Anytime- could even find an affordable program online just to get the CPA out of the way. So many online options can do at your own pace!
It depends your career path. Two very different certificates for two different roles.
I’m gonna be a finance guy but never actually investing securities
