And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?

Sounds like a good role but if there’s no upside in the total comp in terms of stock options etc putting your comp substantially above what it is now, I’d be hesitant. Typically your biggest raise is when switching roles and I’d have second thoughts about keeping the same all in comp in a new role unless I really wanted to leave and/or was really passionate about the new role
Senior financial analyst? Why wouldn’t this be a job a senior associate in FDD would chase?
PwC 4 - interesting insight. Do you know how that will work out when you leave Amazon? If you level down when joining Amazon and leave before getting promoted to manager at Amazon, is that going to hurt your career in the long term since most employers aren’t as knowledgeable about Amazon levels?
I’d take it. At your level the longer you are in FDD the harder it is to exit. Even if you don’t want to stay long term at Amazon it’ll be a resume builder
Any tips on the process? I’m an FDD S3 and anytime I apply for jobs like that (Amazon or other top tech company SFA/FA) I never get a response.
PE. Have worked on tech deals in the past, but the lack of specialization seems to really hurt when applying for any given industry. Did you just apply online or did networking help you get a foot in the door?
It’s worth seeing if you can negotiate coming in as a manager. There are requirements where you need to stay at a level for a certain period before you’re eligible for promotion so if you’re on the cusp it’s certainly worth discussing. At the end of the day as long as you’re comfortable with comp I think it’s a good move. I made a jump from similar big 4 group to amazon and don’t regret it.
